The Best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Gi Available
Only From American MMA

American MMA Brand Gi's are made from the finest cotton, and are extra thick, featuring a double weave which makes them extremely durable. Designed for everyday use to last for years. They are perfect for fighters who need to put their school patch on the back. This is truly the best line of gi's on the market today and are available in black, blue and white!

Our gi's are cut to hang more than one inch below your belt. To us, tucking in your gi constantly takes away from a good roll. If you are tucking in your Jiu Jitsu gi all the time, why not go no gi?

We are designed for the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner as well as the Judo player, but they are used as martial arts training uniforms for any number of traditional martial arts styles as well. They are built heavy to allow for all the grabbing, pulling, pushing, and other assorted abuses that good martial arts training consists of. You can read what are customers are saying about this gi and learn proper care of your gi to get the longest life from it.

We hope you enjoy our gi's as much as we do, we train in them everyday. Take care and don't forget to e-mail your comments to inquiry@americanmmagear.com

What Customers Are Saying:

"The Gi's are phenomenal! I have compared them to ATAMA, Gameness, MTI, and even Mizuno Supreme gi's. American MMA gi's are very heavy duty, with thick fabric, extra stitching on every seam, thick rubber lined lapels, and a twelve row stitch line up the back. The single weave was better than most other double weaves and the American MMA double weave was far superior to all of them, especially for the price. With this quality/price ratio, I have purchased nothing but American MMA gi's since, and highly recommend them to anyone needing a serious gi."

Owner of Ordered Chaos Mixed Martial Arts

"Their single weave gi's are as heavy duty as other companies double weave and the Mixed Martial Arts gloves are durable enough to train with as well as compete. The 16 ounce boxing gloves are tight and compact."

"American MMA gis are my favorite. They are durable and tough. I compete in both Judo and JiuJitsu tournaments and I never wear anything else."

Chase Row
Eagan, Minnesota

"Personally, I prefer doing no gi, but American MMA gis are nice and thick, which make it harder for my opponent to collar choke me, so when I roll I only wear American MMA gis."

Chad Swenson
Northfield, Minnesota

"I love American MMA gis. I have grappled every day for about a year and the only sign of wear and tear is the slight fading. Their customer service is second to none."

Mike Jacobs
San Jose, California

"Compared to other gis on the market American MMA matches the quality and beats the price. Awesome gis for a very nice price."

Dustin Bearse
Omaha, Nebraska

"I love the durability of American MMA, from gis to gloves they have it all."

Justin Roehning
Savage, Minnesota

"I have used my American MMA gi for Brazilian JiuJitsu training as well as my Blended Kenpo Karate training, and it's held up better than any of my previous gis. I have had more than one gi tear while grappling or simply wear out from being washed too often. Even after dozens of washes, a lot of grappling, grabbing and throwing, it's held its color, the collar is still stiff and the material is still strong."

Care and Feeding of your Jiu-Jitsu Gi:

  1. Line dry, or if you must use a dryer, use no heat or the lowest setting. This will maximize the life of the gi and minimize shrinkage.

  2. NEVER USE CHLORINE BLEACH! USE OF CHLORINE BLEACH WILL DAMAGE THE FIBERS AND REDUCE THE LIFE OF YOUR GI IF NOT RUIN THE GI!

  3. For colored gi’s:

    • Before first wash, soak the go in the sink or tub with 2-3 cups of white vinegar and the rest cold water. Let soak for 20-30 minutes and then wash. This will help set the color in your gi and minimize fading.

    • Second and future washes: Wash in cold water. Use color safe detergent. Follow drying instructions above.
